In The Bag….The Sale Edit

With the Christmas period over its time to get back to business!

The sales have been on for a little while now, but sometimes holding on that little bit longer gets you that much more of a bargain (with stores like ASOS, Office and Warehouse offering up to 70% off at the moment).

The first rule of sales shopping is to go through your wardrobe beforehand to see what you REALLY need or could do with more of! For me this time round its jeans. The second rule is to try to stick to the “need” list instead of impulse buying (as tempting as those pink glittery shoes are, ask yourself “what you’ll wear them with and how many times” before buying). The third is to try and keep to wardrobe essentials that you will wear season after season, year after year as below:

This coat is perfect for the next coming months, it can be worn casually or for more dressier occasions, and the faux fur collar is removable!

This pretty black top from Zara will be in your wardrobe for years and is that perfect go to top when you have no idea what to wear to any social occasion.

Trainers have been huge for a while now with no sign of fading anytime soon (YAY!!) These Adidas SuperStar’s are the perfect trainer to turn any outfit in to laid back chic.

Indigo jeans are a key item in any wardrobe, no matter what age, size or shape you are. These ones from H&M are ankle length so you can show off a little ankle (a must for all my jeans/trousers whatever the weather) and will be perfect for Spring/Summer.

I’ve had my leather jacket for around 5 years now and literally wear it in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Definitely a wardrobe icon!

Everyone needs a fab top like this, something to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe. Feathers never date and will look so nice thrown on with a pair of jeans or an A-Line leather skirt.

Wellies are a practical necessity – from winter walks to summer festivals you need a pair and Hunters are the ultimate cool so when on sale you need to buy! Keep the colour neutral so they go with everything during every season.

The camel coat is a winer classic, one that you’ll still wear in 10 years time. Its a wardrobe must. Throw on over any outfit to add sophistication day or night.

Another thing to consider when sale shopping is: Things To Come…it may be cold, wet and miserable outside but within weeks S/S 2016 items will soon be in-stores and on-line. A lot of stores at the moment are bringing out summer items that weren’t cleared during the last sales. This is something that we should be taking advantage of, especially staple pieces like blazers, cropped jeans, leather sandals and shirts. Perfect for Spring which hopefully isn’t too far away.

ALL items listed in this post are currently on sale, don’t let them sell out… buy buy buy!

If any items are out of stock make sure you check the in-store availability that most websites have now!

Happy Shopping and a Happy New Year

Thanks for your phone consultation too. You
really should advertise that on your blog. I would have spent hours trawling the web for the perfect cropped gilet but you sent me the link in seconds. You have a natural understanding of what your clients want
