With the weather turning colder it’s time to cosy up and get warm! I’m a huge fan of cashmere (some friends, would say I’m obsessed) but investing in pieces over the years has helped me to build the ultimate cashmere collection. One of my favourite places to buy cashmere is from Pure Collection. I have several items from Pure Collection, which have all stood the test of time, they are slightly more expensive then other cashmere retailers on the high street but their cashmere is SO soft and of the best quality.
There is nothing more luxurious then cashmere and its the perfect way to add that fab-lux feeling to any outfit but ultimately the best thing about cashmere is that it lasts! And if cared for properly you’ll be wearing it for year and years….
With this in mind, I have been searching the net to find the best “affordable” cashmere, with quite a few items currently in the sale. From jumpers to dressers, scarfs to socks here’s my best finds….
The Classic Jumper:
These can be worn smart and causally to work and over the weekend. My advise is to stick to a neutral colour palette, navy, grey or camel are aways good colours as they will go with the majority of items in your wardrobe and also look great with jeans. Keep your jumper oversized, it will give you that laid back cool look that fashionista’s ooze:
If you’ve already got a neutral colour collection going (like I have) try one of these brighter cashmere jumpers to inject a bit of colour in to your wardrobe, perfect for brightening up grey days and Spring:

Is the perfect throw on for any outfit and a quick way to get cosy while indoors. This navy cardigan from Pure Collection is mega pricey but currently half price in the sale, its been on my lush list for over a year now and will hopefully make it in to my wardrobe one day soon, I will wear it forever!
This cashmere sleeveless jumper will look fab over the top of a white shirt, ankle cropped trousers and a pair of heels. This grey cashmere dress will look lovely with thick black tights and a chunky pair of black boots, then when it warms up loose the tight and add a classic pair of white trainers like Adidas Stan Smiths.
Nothing’s cosier then a cashmere all-in-one, dressing gown or bottoms. Perfect for lazy Sunday’s or quiet nights in, just light the candles and pass the remote.

A slightly less expensive way to incorporate cashmere in to your wardrobe is accessories. My husband brought me the ultimate cashmere blanket scarf from Topshop last Christmas and its literally been my favourite thing that I wear everyday. I also have a few pairs of cashmere socks that I wear all the time at home as I never seem to keep slippers on for more than 5 minutes as well as keeping my toes warm during freezing weather! Here’s my top picks for the best cashmere accessories.
Cashmere on a Budget:
Primark as well as F&F at Tescos also do great cashmere. Worth investing in if you want to buy bolder colours, patterns or shapes that you may only wear on occasion or on a budget.
Uniqlo are also doing a cotton cashmere collection from jumpers to cardigans in beautiful spring colours which is definitely worth checking out.
Since cashmere is a big investment you need to take care of it to make sure it lasts. I would definitely recommend buying a cashmere comb to gently get rid of any bobbles that sometimes build up with wear as well as cedar balls which discourage any mould as well as protecting your cashmere from the pesky moths that love cashmere as much as I do!
