So far the times I have visited it has never been a disappointment. The old car showroom is a beautiful large open room with marble floors and a chic black and white colour scheme.

We popped in on a rather grey day and it was brightened by a pot of English breakfast tea and a mocha served in pretty deco silverware. The breakfast menu has a wide range of choices, from traditional full English to the ever popular avocado, in this case on potato rosti with tomato and poached egg. Very tempting. We went for the best of both worlds, a combination of sweet and savoury. Fresh fluffy berry pancakes with seasonal berries and crème fraiche were ordered with sides of crispy bacon, which arrived accompanied by a jug of maple syrup. A perfect combination, but oh so filling; so much so that it was hard to leave the table afterwards. It takes a lot for us to stop our constant chitchat, but the Wolseley succeeded.
This is somewhere to go as a treat or on a special occasion. The Wolseley is grand, but service is friendly and welcoming resulting in a relaxed atmosphere where you aren’t rushed. Most people are dressed smart casual, but you won’t feel out of place in jeans. Definitely worth starting your day off here, even if you have a short wait for a table. It’s also not unknown to spot the odd celeb!
Nearest tube is Green Park.
Price was £20 per person including service. They take some bookings, but usually tables are on a walk up basis.
