Here’s my tried and tested favourite hair volume products – (L-R) John Frieda 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment – after shampooing work this into your roots (Tip – do a one pump at a time to cover different sections makes it easier to apply evenly) leave in for 3 minutes, rinse and blow dry for volume. I do notice a slight thickness but more so in the body to lengths of my hair but I don’t blow dry often so this could be why. L’Oreal Elvive Fibrology Shampoo – I use this the most it a great regular shampoo and does add a bit of body. My most recent buy is TRESemme Beauty-Full Volume Reverse Wash System – use Step 1 Conditioner first, this totally smells like a Gucci perfume its lovely! My hair feels super silky so apply to the lengths only (its too heavy to apply to roots). Then rinse and apply Step 2 Shampoo, I usually wash twice as I use dry shampoo a lot! They do have a volume styling product in this range but I wouldn’t bother myself – my hair is probably the least effort I make and I barely get it cut every 6 months! You can find these products will weigh hair down if its out of shape like mine is right now! I don’t think these products create miracles but they do have some effect on my hair and I think this category of products is only going to expand and become more effective in the future, because most of us are looking for that full and bouncy blow-dry effect. Let me know what you think – budget haircare all worth a try!
