NYX Lipstick – Browns

I’m so happy we can access NYX more easily in the UK now – this American brand doesn’t break the bank and the products are oh so worth it! When a friend is looking for a new lipstick I always recommend looking at NYX as a starting point – you’re bound to find a good option. I’m currently still obsessing over the 90’s brown lip trend and here are my three top brown shades…

From the swatch photo – left to right;

1. Intense Butter Gloss / Chocolate Crepe £5.50 – A deep terracotta brown, high gloss and shine. If you’re not into your glosses I’d recommend the next option or a butter gloss for a sheen/satin finish as this is quite a heavy gloss.

2. Butter Lipstick / Tan Lines £5.50 – A soft golden brown sheen finish. I was a bit worried this would look odd against my fair complexion but I absolutely love it – currently my handbag staple. It’s very light and lovely to wear and gives your lips a moisture boost.

3. Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick – Matte Finish / Soft Spoken – £6.50 – This is the one I had trouble tracking down because it’s always sold out! A lovely pinky brown that glides on as a cream but sets into a matte finish. You can layer this up for a more intense colour but blendable for a subtle just kissed look if you don’t apply too much. For a matte finish this is one of the most comfortable I have worn – it’s not overly drying and actually feel like you don’t have anything on!

There are some great shades in all these versions so check them out – the NYX Lip Lingerie range offers more matte finish nudes if that’s your thing.

Available in Boots and Selfridges.
