Breaking the Habit…

I must admit, I do tend to stick to what I know when it comes to shopping, heading to the same shops week in week out (and when most of the staff in Zara know you on first name terms, you know things may need to change?!) so this week when I got invited to the new Monsoon Westfields London store opening it was just the change I needed!

This store has undergone a huge refurbishment and what a fabulous makeover it has had! Appearance wise, the store is up there with the likes of Topshop Oxford Circus with it’s digital billboards showcasing their latest collection from the outside as well as inside the store, however the store it’s self (unlike the chaos of Topshop OC) has a real cool mediterranean vibe going on. From the cash desk to the floor this store is sleek, yet inviting!

And the changing rooms?! Well it’s definitely somewhere I would like to hang out all day long if my job/husband/bank would allow me too! Even Mr Simon himself has donated some of his priceless art collection to give this area a more personal feel. The store also offers a personal shopping service which is great if you are after something special, want a new style or need a little help when it comes dressing for your shape/size.

The brand it’s self has clearly undergone a big rebranding and usually a shop I would associate with a slightly older genration but how VERY wrong I was. With the recently appointed Brand Director Philip Walker and long standing Creative Director Suzie Laing the duo are a force to be reckoned with and are clearly taking this brand to a whole other level. This season it’s all about boho Ibiza vibes as well as it’s style origin of rich vibrant colours and beautiful detailing taken straight from the streets of India.

So with that in mind, here are a “few” things that I caught my eye during my visit:

…Indian Summers…

We even got to create our very own personalised tote bags with their in-store pop up station! How very chic!

And while we’re on the subject of new stores, I also checked out the new shop on the block in Oxford Street last week – Stradivarius!

There isn’t a week that goes by without a new store opening on Oxford Street but being apart of the MEGA giant that is Inditex, this Spainish brand is a sister company to Zara, Massimo Dutti, Berskha and Pull & Bear. Even before I walked through the doors I could sense it’s Spanish roots and being a total Inditex addict I fell in love straight away. This brand definitely has closer connections to Berskha and Pull & Bear than it’s other sisters, and will appeal to my teen cousins with it’s sense of fun to fashion. Nonetheless it’s well-worth a browse as the prices are reasonable making it a good place to buy “on trend” items as well as being able to play around with your wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Loving all of these Accessorise!

They also have a really cool yet stylish homeware section, a great way to channel some Spanish casa vibes in dreary old England…

So here are two great stores that will most certainly be getting a visit from me now on…

(God help me!)

Happy Sunday and Happy Shopping Ladies!

Lots of Love
